Although today’s mothers are having fewer children than they have historically, their responsibilities are not dwindling in the slightest. In fact, today’s mothers are earning degrees and pursuing careers in addition to raising children and running households. According to a recent study, the percentage of working women with college degrees is higher than it has ever been, as is the percentage of mothers in the workforce. Research also shows that by getting degrees, mothers also improve the academic futures of their children.
